Still smiling
Teho Teardo und Blixa Bargeld

Aus dem Album Still smiling, Deutschland 2013

still there?
still there.

I re-count the black days
recollect some circumstances
even though it takes my sleep
I recall the black days
the mismatches and the end of some affairs
I recall the black days
between zenith and nadir
is there a pattern anywhere?
I recall the black days
the blackest one it's not the last one but it's there

and somewhere down there
I'm smiling
still smiling
I'm smiling
from the bottom of my shapeless soul
I'm smiling
anyway

I recount the black days
wade through all the shadows
even so it takes my sleep
I recall the black days
the cuts and the recovery
from unnecessary growth

I recall the black days
as maybe grim and melanized
but also colourful

and somewhere down there
I'm smiling still smiling
I'm smiling from the bottom
of my fairtrade soul
I'm smiling …

still there?

Stevenage FC - Barnet FC 0:0
Samstagnachmittag, Broadhall Way, 3801 Zuschauer
keine besonderen Vorkommnisse
Aktueller Tabellenstand der Bees: 18. (von 24)

Zweites 0:0 innert Wochenfrist!

Sad and deep as you
Dave Mason

Aus dem Album Alone together, England 1970

Original. Studio 1970

Live-Version 2013

Lips that are as warm could be
Lips that speak too soon
Lips that tell a story
Sad and deep as you

Smile that's warm as summer sun
Smile that gets you through
Smile that tells a story
Sad and deep as you

Eyes that are the windows
Eyes that are the view
Eyes that tell a story
Sad and deep as you

Tears that are unspoked words
Tears that are the truth
Tears that tell a story
Sad and deep as you

I can smell the sea (really...)!
Playlist Januar

Vom Aussie-Paradiesvogel Jack Ladder gibt's auch wieder mal was Neues: Diesmal live.
Wohl bekomm's!

Jack Ladder mit Come on back this way

Barnet FC - Carlisle United FC 0:0
Samstagnachmittag, The Hive, 2079 Zuschauer
Keine besonderen Vorkommnisse
Aktueller Tabellenstand der Bees: 17. (von 24)

Torloses Unentschieden trotz vieler Chancen.

Lieblingslieder (85):

The Curse
Josh Ritter

Aus dem Album So turns the world away, USA 2010

He opens his eyes falls in love at first sight
With the girl in the doorway
What beautiful lines and how full of life
After thousands of years what a face to wake up to
He holds back a sigh as she touches his arm
She dusts off the bed where 'til now he's been sleeping
And under miles of stone, the dried fig of his heart
Under scarab and bone starts back to its beating

She carries him home in a beautiful boat
He watches the sea from a porthole in stowage
He can hear all she says as she sits by his bed
And one day his lips answer her in her own language
The days quickly pass he loves making her laugh
The first time he moves it's her hair that he touches
She asks, “Are you cursed?” He says, “I think that I'm cured”
Then he talks of the Nile and the girls in bulrushes

In New York he is laid in a glass covered case
He pretends he is dead people crowd round to see him
But each night she comes round and the two wander down
The halls of the tomb that she calls a museum
Often he stops to rest but then less and less
Then it's her that looks tired staying up asking questions
He learns how to read from the papers that she
Is writing about him and he makes corrections

It's his face on her book more and more come to look
Families from Iowa, upper west siders
Then one day it's too much he decides to get up
And as chaos ensues he walks outside to find her
She's using a cane and her face looks too pale
But she's happy to see him as they walk he supports her
She asks, “Are you cursed?” but his answer's obscured
In a sandstorm of flashbulbs and rowdy reporters

Such reanimation the two tour the nation
He gets out of limos he meets other women
He speaks of her fondly their nights in the museum
But she's just one more rag now he's dragging behind him
She stops going out she just lies there in bed
In hotels in whatever towns they are speaking
Then her face starts to set and her hands start to fold
And one day the dried fig of her heart stops its beating

Long ago on the ship she asked, “Why pyramids?”
He said, “Think of them as an immense invitation”
She asked, “Are you cursed?” He said, “I think that I'm cured”
Then he kissed her and hoped that she'd forget that question

Where do you go to my lovely?
1969 schrieb und sang Peter Sarstedt Where do you go to my lovely.

Pop-Geschichte.

Heute einige Versionen, die mir gut gefallen!

Lieblingslieder (84):

In Corolla
The Mountain Goats

Aus dem Album Get lonely, USA 2006

The day I turned my back on all you people
I felt an itching in my thumbs
Salt air like a broadcast from the distant dark beyond
When my transformation comes

I went down to the warm warm water
Saw a pelican fly past
Waved once at the highway and then left all that behind me
I went wading through the grass

And no one was gonna come and get me
There wasn't anybody gonna know
Even though I leave a trail of burned things in my wake
Every single place I go

And it was cool and it was quiet
In the humid marsh down there
I let my head sink down beneath the brackish water
Felt it gumming up my hair

The sun was sinking into the Atlantic
The last time that I turned my back on you
I tried to summon up a little prayer as I went under
It was the best that I could do

And I said let them all fare better than your servant
The reeds all pricking at my skin
Here's hoping they have better luck than I had down here with you
All that water rushing in
